The Center for Children of Incarcerated Parents, founded in 1989 and based in Los Angeles, California, is a national organization addressing the issues and needs of the children and families of criminal offenders. CCIP is working to produce documentation on and development of model services for children of criminal offenders.

Established in 1997, the network seeks to encourage the fullest possible implementation of the 1989 Convention on the Rights of the Child, to support collective lobbying for childrens rights, to foster the exchange of information and strategies, and to promote the development of effective independent offices for children

Child Rights Information Network
Child Rights Information Network (CRIN). A worldwide network that disseminates information about the 1989 UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and child rights among NGOs, UN agencies, educational institutions and other child rights experts. Promotes the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, and provides support to organizations in gathering, handling, producing and disseminating child rights information.

National Resource Center on Children and Families of the Incarcerated
Pivotal organization for and about prisoners and their families. Provides information on prisoners' children, parenting programs for prisoners, prison visiting, incarcerated fathers and other topics through publishing, sponsoring conferences, liaison with other agencies, presentations and consultation. Offers training and technical assistance.
